**Position Overview**
The Federal Court of Australia is globally recognised as an exemplar of judicial development with an uncompromising commitment to the quality of its services. Since its establishment in 1977 the Court has played a significant role in the provision of assistance to over 50 countries. Its strong collaborative links and unparalleled access to networks and individuals around the world provide invaluable resources in the delivery of high quality professional development and capacity building support to partner judiciaries in both bilateral and multilateral contexts. The Court seeks a Project Coordinator to support the various projects in its International Programs Unit, with principal responsibility for delivering on activity implementation and financial aspects of the Pacific Judicial Integrity Program (PJIP).
**Major Activities**
The International Programs Unit are seeking a Project Coordinator who is passionate about fostering the rule of law internationally. The role involves supporting Pacific Courts to preside over and manage corruption-related cases by:
- Organising and implementing a suite of activities. This includes responsibility for: coordination, administration, and tracking of international/domestic travel and other activity-based logistics; drafting and compiling briefings, communications and project materials, as well as contributing to activity and program reporting; and monitoring and acquitting activity budgets.
- Managing, monitoring and acquitting operating budgets, activity and project budgets, including preparing periodic budget forecasts;
- Provide accurate and comprehensive monthly, periodic and exception financial reports, including expenditure and variances;
- Follow the Court’s financial procedures, including for procurement and use of financial templates, to ensure that all costs accord with approved budgets, applicable rates and represent value for money;
- Track, collate and develop all invoices for internal/external submission/acquittals as required;
- Support the Court’s finance team to manage and process domestic and international payments efficiently and effectively;
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date and accessible records of all quotations, invoices, completed financial templates and other financial documentation and information for auditing purposes;
- Liaise with other Court and team personnel to operate and maintain accounts, including partner courts in other countries;
- Effective, timely and professional communication, including cross-culturally;
- Work collaboratively and collegially with other team members, including managing volunteers; and
- Any other tasks required to support the activities and projects of the International Programs Unit.
**Selection Criteria**
- At least 5 years’ experience administering, implementing and reporting on complex development assistance activities/programs and budgets.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing complex travel and other activity logistics, preferably in the Pacific.
- Demonstrated experience in project budgeting, tracking, management and acquittals.
- Effective time management and capacity to ensure that activity work plans and budgets are followed and (often concurrent) deadlines are met on time.
- Demonstrated experience to comply with financial requirements associated with donor-funded international development projects, and procurement rules including seeking/analysing quotes, calculating and making payments.
- Ability to work collaboratively, as well as with mínimal supervision.
- Proficient in using technology to perform functions and maximise reach/efficiency of activities, including Zoom, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Teams).
- High level of professionalism, integrity, attention to detail and flexibility in a dynamic environment of changing and competing priorities.
- Solutions-focused commitment to resolving activity and interpersonal challenges restoratively and expediently.
