**Food Services Assistant - Yarraman**

**Shifts available**

**Monday - Thursday 15.15 - 19.45 (36 hours per fortnight)**

**Friday 07.30 - 14.30 (14 hours per fortnight)**

***Our Journey**:
Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.

**A Day in the Life**:
Responsibilities include; (but not limited to)
- Cleaning patient trays
- Prepare and distribute meals for our residents
- Collect all resident meal trays
- Clean all trays, cutlery and utensils

**On a Personal Level**:

- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a personable approach to our patients and visitors at Monash Health.
- A proactive approach and team player
- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete while working alone or as part of a cohesive team.
- Takes pride in your work with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Is able to work unsupervised but take direction
- Has great time management skills

**What You Need**:

- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate - For Community Services and Health Industries _(Desirable)_
- Food Handling Certificate (SITXFSA001) - Use hygienic practices for food safety (Essential)
- A minimum of two years’ experience as a Food Services Assistant in a medium to large acute health setting or large residential aged care services organisation or equivalent public or private sector experience is required _(Desirable)_
- Knowledge of the computer based menu management system
- Knowledge of stock control
