About the opportunity

Meal Preparation: Assist in preparing and serving meals according to dietary requirements.

Food Safety Compliance: Follow food safety and hygiene standards to ensure safe food handling.

Dietary Support: Cater to individual dietary needs and preferences, including texture modifications.

Dining Room Management: Set up dining areas, serve meals, and assist residents during mealtime.

Cleaning Duties: Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing and sanitizing surfaces.

Inventory Management: Assist in tracking food supplies and reporting shortages to supervisors.

Communication: Collaborate with nursing and dietary staff to ensure residents’ nutritional needs are met.

Resident Interaction: Engage with residents to enhance their dining experience and encourage socialization.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Food Handling Certification: Relevant certifications in food safety and hygiene.

Experience in Aged Care: Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Culinary Skills: Basic cooking skills and knowledge of nutritional guidelines.
