Reporting to the Food Services Team Leader, the Food Services Attendant provides high quality customer service in delivering food service to residents in kitchenettes, in accordance with quality assurance standards and the policies and procedures of Rembrandt Living Inc. **Management and Accountability**: - Ensures that the service of meals, including morning and afternoon teas, is carried out in an efficient and timely manner. - Delivers a high-quality customer service to residents during meal times - Ensures that dining areas are set prior to meal times and undertakes subsequent clean up - Maintains safe food handling requirements and hygiene control techniques - Maintains safety requirements for use of equipment and manual handling - Assists with delivery and collection of resident meal trolleys to/from servery areas as required - Communicates effectively within the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of resident meals - Maintains the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchenettes and dining areas. - Undertakes dishwashing duties in kitchenettes - Replenishes stock levels in fridges and kitchenette cupboards - Attends staff meetings and education sessions as planned and maintain up to date knowledge of policies, procedures and changes in the work environment. - Participates in activities designed to maintain or improve the Quality of Life for the residents. - Participates actively towards continuous improvement and accreditation. - Follows compliance within Rembrandt Living’s policies and procedures including the code of conduct and Equal Employment Opportunities. - Acquires and maintains work health and safety knowledge relevant to the workplace and understands all operations and associated hazards and risks - Any other duties as requested by the Food Services Coordinator or delegate. **Workplace Health & Safety** - In accordance with current legislation specific to your job role and responsibilities, all staff are required to become familiar with and work in accordance with the _Work Health and Safety Act 2012 (SA), Return to Work Act 2014 (SA),_ and comply with all WHS responsibilities relevant to your role as outlined in Rembrandt Living’s Work Health & Safety Policy. **Skills and Experience/Technical Know How**: - Experience in catering services, assisting with service of a variety of foods in required quantities - Basic knowledge of nutritional principles and dietary requirements for older people. - Demonstrated experience in a customer service role in food services or hospitality - Experience in an Aged Care environment (highly desirable) - Basic understanding of safe food handling and hygiene standards - Current police clearance and Annual Influenza Vaccination **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual Pay: $29.00 - $37.00 per hour Work Location: In person
