**What you’ll be doing**:
This Finance Partner role sites within our FP&A division, with the objective to provide key financial insights, business partnering and support for the People, Legal and Corporate Affairs departments of Virgin Australia. You will be responsible for finance partnering, monthly reporting and preparing annual Budgets and monthly Forecasts.

Further responsibilities:

- Partnering with ELT (Executive Leadership Team) members for People, Corporate Affairs and Legal, as well as other key stakeholders across the department.
- This role supports ELT to manage budgets, forecasts and financial targets, as well as drive performance across the business
- Understand business requirements and provide financial support and advice for any activities across People, Legal and Corporate Affairs departments
- Preparation of monthly ELT reporting packs for People, Legal and Public Affairs, with insightful analysis and commentary
- Investigating variances and ensuring accuracy of numbers
- Presenting key financial information and clear, accurate and concise monthly reports to General Managers and Executives
- Accuracy in the system for Budget, Forecast and Actuals and understanding and explaining variances and movements
- Provide SME advice, input and support for any business case development or ELT presentations
- Responsible for analysis, reporting and commentary on Indirect Labour and FTE and any other analysis requirements for Board reporting, while identifying improvement opportunities
- Financial modelling and ad hoc analysis and reporting as required
- Development, maintenance and continuous improvement of any budget, forecast and reporting models

**Who we’re looking for**:

- Comprehensive post-qualification experience in budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting
- Proven track record of Finance Partnering with Senior Leadership, in a large, complex organisation
- Excellent excel and financial analysis skills with high attention to detail
- Strong, charismatic communication skills, with the ability to confidently manage senior stakeholders
- Ability to deliver concise, accurate and professional reports and commentary for board level purposes
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Inquisitive mindset and problem solving ability
- Must be able to come into the Brisbane Southbank office at least 3 days per week
