Melbourne, AUCYP Design & Construction Joint Venture (CYP D&C) has been contracted to design and build the tunnels and stations for the Metro Tunnel Project.

CYP D&C brings together three of Australia's leading construction partners John Holland, Lendlease, and Bouygues Construction.

The Metro Tunnel Project will untangle the City Loop by taking three of Melbourne’s busiest train lines through a new tunnel under the city. It will create a new end-to-end train line from Sunbury to Cranbourne/Pakenham, with twin nine-kilometre tunnels and five new underground stations at Arden (to be renamed North Melbourne), Parkville, Anzac, and two new CBD stations - State Library and Town Hall - which will directly connect to the City Loop.

We are looking for an experienced BIM Coordinator to join the DE team to assist with the digital engineering process in establishing, maintaining and implementing BIM workflows and processes for the project.

Responsibilities of the role include:

- Contribution to the delivery of BIM deliverables for the project
- Assisting in the ongoing development of BIM process, standards and potential implementation needs
- Promoting and assisting BIM usage within the JV and project-wide need
- Model Management for project-based discipline models, including maintenance and setup
- Assisting in the review and documentation of design coordination conflicts
- Scheduling and facilitating coordination meetings along with Digital Engineering teams, Design Management and Project Management as needed
- Compiling, running and analysing clash detection on federated RIC models
- Meeting with designers/stakeholders as required to interact and review models/data as needed
- Performing all duties in accordance with RIC policies, process, systems, reporting and procedures
- Assisting with development and maintenance of multiple CDE (Common Data Environment) for ongoing project collaboration
- Providing input into model-based auditing requirements such as clash detection, model reporting and providing feedback of outcome to internal/external stakeholders
- Leading project BIM activities
- Building and developing teams

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

- Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Construction or Architecture based bachelor's degree/Diploma
- 5+ years' experience using a BIM toolset environment in an Infrastructure / Building / Construction based field
- Understanding of construction project workflow requirements and basic project management
- Understanding of basic commercial requirements around BIM and ongoing JV needs
- Problem solving, technical and analytical skills to support the implementation of organisational policies, procedures and project engineering operations
- Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit
- Experience in at least one of following design solutions; Bentley Microstation, OpenRoads, Civil3D, 12d Model
- Understanding of building scripts using Dynamo and/or Grasshopper
- Preferable with knowledge in the following DE specific solutions; Navisworks Manage, Solibri Model
- Checker, Aconex, Bentley Synchro, Bentley ProjectWise, Revizto
- Working knowledge of ISO19650, PAS1192-2:2013, BS1192:2007, and other relevant DE specific standards
