**The Opportunity
**The role is for a highly experienced BIM specialist to enable discipline implementation of BIM. The BIM Coordinator will support the various departments with business level BIM configuration and BIM design delivery for projects within the KBR portfolio across Australia.
Working within an operations team, you will provide the disciplines with the correct configuration of the software required to execute the project and this will include, Software updates implementation, providing direct training, configuration, base configurations, classification, and maintenance of the software stack. Additionally, modelling output which will be required across the disciplines for development of asset library models and any modelling required for project delivery.
The role will work with and under direction Nationally from the BIM Lead and integrate with Digital Engineering activities Nationally and locally to projects.
Some other responsibilities are:
- Build KBR’s Disciplines to enable highest levels of BIM to meet ISO19650
- Build relationships with suppliers of software and enable control of implementation and configuration
- Build KBR’s professional reputation for market leading systems engineering capabilities
- Demonstrate innovation
- Develop staff through coaching and mentoring creating industry best practices
- Integrate BIM organically within the business, locally and across Australia
- Provide technical documentation, frameworks, scope and delivery strategies within the business
- Enable BIM Modelling for multiple disciplines and projects
**Who are you?**
You will be experienced in increasing awareness, able to drive innovation and create structured approaches in BIM implementation and maintenance at project and business level whilst having the ability to drive change, you will and be an advocate of understanding the progression of BIM within disciplines.
You can establish good rapport with all discipline members, clients and suppliers and can present clear ideas and concepts to the disciplines on how to achieve the highest levels of BIM implementation.
You will also have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated comprehensive practical and theoretical knowledge in CAD/BIM software
- Deep understanding of ISO19650
- Understand configuration of CAD/BIM software stack
- Expert Scripting languages (dependant on software stack)
- Expert in modelling for project deliverables
- Expert in version capabilities of software
- Expert in integration of software with ProjectWise and BIM360 platforms (borders)
- Understanding of commercial implications and licences within BIM
- Understanding of basic engineering principals
- Produce and Maintain competence management records for BIM
- Provide basic time, cost solutions for BIM implementation/ savings via scripting
- Understand the DE Leads requirements for projects and ensure alignment and input into Digital Engineering Execution plans.
