We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Industrial Relations Business Partner.

As an Industrial Relations Business Partner, you will play a critical role in ensuring effective labor relations and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Your expertise will empower teams, build industry-leading IR strategies, foster strong relationships with stakeholders, and drive the success of our construction projects.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Develop and implement comprehensive industrial relations strategies, policies, and procedures to support our construction projects across civil construction, water infrastructure, rail and pipe renewals.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on industrial relations matters, including compliance with labor laws, industrial agreements, and workplace policies.
- Proactively manage employee relations, including dispute resolution, grievance handling, and disciplinary actions, to maintain a harmonious work environment.
- Collaborate with project teams, unions, and external stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices in industrial relations to ensure compliance and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Conduct training programs and workshops for employees and managers to promote understanding of industrial relations policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the HR team to support recruitment, onboarding, and talent management initiatives.

**What you need**
- Proven experience as an Industrial Relations Manager or a similar role within the construction industry, preferably with exposure to civil construction, water infrastructure, or pipe renewals projects.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant labor laws, industrial agreements, and employment regulations.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to handle complex industrial relations issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive and detail-oriented approach to ensure compliance and manage risks effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
