Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Admin Policy Officer on a contract for 12 months.

**Position Overview**

These roles provide the opportunity to design and deliver on government policy and programs to meet the needs of people impacted by disasters and better prepare communities for future disasters, in the face of climate change. These positions may include:

- providing strategic policy advice, briefing and coordination of the Commonwealth's disaster recovery and resilience activities.
- assisting in the design and delivery of social, environmental, built and economic recovery and resilience policies and programs, including development and implementation of grant programs.
- providing advice to the responsible Minister and other agencies about existing and new Commonwealth policies and programs that contribute to improved recovery and resilience outcomes.
- appropriately managing probity and governance arrangements and undertaking grant program reporting and guideline development.
- driving policy outcomes from the Royal Commission into National Natural Disaster Arrangements, and supporting the National Emergency Management Ministers Meeting priorities, including through Secretariat and stakeholder management
- building and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders, including other Commonwealth organisations, states and territories, local councils, industry bodies and not for profit and community organisations to deliver coordinated, effective support to individuals, businesses and communities.
