**About The Role**
We are looking for a passionate, proactive and engaged Design Assistant to work closely with our Head of Creative in the design and development our accessories ranges including leather goods, footwear, jewellery and other accessories as required. This is an end to end role responsible for the full spectrum from design conception through to production.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Bi-Annual seasonal range design, ensuring the harmonious, accurate, timely design and development of the full ELK accessories range (including jewellery, leather and footwear) in line with the brand vision and seasonal direction as established by the Head of Creative
- Contribute to the seasonal ranging in collaboration with Design, Planning and Production
- Draw up all initial designs as directed, and for sign off by the Head of Creative
- Produce illustrated visual storyboards of seasonal ranges
- Produce specification packs, and accurately track (via our PLM WFX) for all designs
- Manage lab dips, trims and materials for each design
- Build strong, trusting relationships with our intimate network of offshore suppliers
- Proactively research & source new products, materials, trends and suppliers aligned with our sustainable goals

This is a full time role based in our Preston office in Melbourne. We are unable to consider sponsorship or remote work for this role.

You have a love of fashion and have a positive, proactive, solutions focussed mindset. You come equipped with at least 1 years’ experience working in a similar role. You take a great deal of pride in your ability to operate with a high degree of organisation, speed, attention to detail and time management in line with the design calendar. You’re tech savvy, you embrace & immerse yourself in new technology, and know Adobe Illustrator like the back of your hand.

**Who are you?**
You are a perfect match with:

- At least 1+ years’ experience working in a similar Design Assistant role
- In depth knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
- Formal qualification in têxtiles production, fashion and têxtiles management, fashion and clothing technology or related industry (desired)
- Experience using WFX (desired) or similar PLM (essential)
