**About you**

As the Compliance Manager you will be highly active, visible and accessible to your team, taking on a key position within the compliance team. You will be an experienced leader with strong contract interpretation skills, working specifically in the areas of compliance, governance and quality/risk management. You will display good time management and strong stakeholder engagement. You will have good knowledge of the complete Microsoft suite, including experience in reporting and IT skills.

You will demonstrate a high level of discretion in performance management, provide recommendation for improvements in compliance, policies and procedures as well as the management of internal and external audit programs. Your knowledge and experience in working with Government or commercial contracts will come highly regarded in this position.

**About the role**

In this role, you will be responsible for the regular reporting of compliance issues to the Centre Manager of Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre and managing the monthly KPIs of the reporting process. Additionally, you will manage document control systems and maintenance of the national Quality Management System. You will provide guidance on a range of other management systems such as Health and Safety, Environment or Food Safety.

You will ensure compliance with the Contract, customer requirements, Serco policies and procedures, Australian and International standards and legislation in all areas of the centre’s operations. As a member of the Management team, you will play a leadership role in the implementation and achievement of the Immigration Detention Values. This is a fulltime role is based in Northam WA.
- To be successful in this role you will have:_
- Extensive experience in contractual interpretation, measuring contract performance and KPI’s
- Training in internal auditing and management systems (e.g. quality, environment, safety); or equivalent industry experience
- Familiarity with Management System Standards, including ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
- Experience within a complex organisation - including auditing and reporting
- Demonstrated high level of communication skills (both written and oral)
- Superior negotiation and influencing skills with all levels of stakeholders (internal & external)
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
- This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes national police check as an essential selection component for this role._
