Celebrating 25 years in operation, local neighbourhood institution, Bondi's Brown Sugar is seeking an experienced Kitchen hand/ Cook to join our team 15 to 24hrs a week (Friday to Sunday)

Position Overview:
As a Kitchen Hand/Cook, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team through food preparation, cleaning, and organization duties.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist chefs with food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting vegetables, and assembling ingredients
- Cook, and heat food items under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and service areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Restock kitchen supplies and materials as needed
- Dispose of waste and maintain hygiene standards according to health and safety regulations
- Help organize and store deliveries, check food inventory
- Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and notify management of any faults
- Follow all food safety guidelines and procedures
- Support kitchen staff during busy service times

**Requirements**:

- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of basic food handling and hygiene standards
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
- Good physical stamina, able to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
