**Why this role matters**

The Research Fellow (Level B) will be expected to carry out independent and/or team research to improve health services access and delivery across the continuum of care, living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

**Key skills required**:

- A PhD in a health-related or social sciences-related discipline, or equivalent research and/or sector experience involving the healthcare system, including qualitative methods.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of healthcare systems and service delivery for individuals with neuro-progressive and/or other chronic conditions. Experience working collaboratively in healthcare research, especially involving co-design, knowledge translation, implementation science, or health equity.
- Familiarity with rural healthcare contexts and the lived experiences of families accessing complex care.
- Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact, with clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence as well as the capacity for research leadership.
- A track record of significant involvement with the research profession and/or healthcare providers and managers, not-for-profit organisations, and with people with lived experience of a complex health condition and/or carer.
- High-level communication skills and ability to network effectively and interact with a diverse range of students, staff, health care providers, people with lived experiences and not-for-profit organisations/advocates.
