By supporting, inspiring, and challenging each other, we believe we can achieve #AMAZING at every touch point. **THE OPPORTUNITY** To support DECJUBA's growth, we’re looking for a Merchandise Planner to manage our wovens department. Reporting into the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for achieving all KPI’s for the assigned merchandise departments. You will be across the development and implementation of a sustainable merchandise strategy inclusive of financial plan, range plan, trading the department in season, controlling OTB and stock flow, and post seasonal analysis. **As a Merchandise Planner at DECJUBA, you will**: - Work closely with Product & Buying teams through the ranging processes - Manage department intake & stock levels to maintain budgeted cover, maximising profit through stock management and minimising risk through MD - Building the merchandise range utilising assortment-planning methodologies to achieve budget objectives - Manage product lifecycles to make strategic tactical investment / divestment decisions, minimising inefficient stocks and maximising the potential of best selling styles. - Prepare budgets & forecasts in line with required timelines - Regular revision of the merchandise plan based on current trading conditions - Manage any gap between the forecast and the budget - Quantify as per the strategy / merchandise plan and range plan - Ensure that merchandise purchases are in line with approved OTB - Manage the flow of stock into e-Comm sites and retail stores that allow retail channels to maximise sales & be operationally feasible. - Visit stores regularly and gain an understanding of competition activity including product, price and promotion - Work collaboratively with the Allocator ensuring stock is sent to stores in line with department plans and company strategy **ABOUT YOU** - You’re currently working in a similar role, or ready to take the next step in your career. - Minimum 2 years financial experience, including allocations / planning, forecasting and managing a range plan from a retail environment (essential) - You're data driven and like to understand the "why" - Previous people management experience - Strong financial and numerical skills - Ability to interpret and act on trends - Ability to plan, implement and manage promotional programs, - Strong understanding of assortment strategies & range building techniques including building financial plans - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to interpret and action data/best sellers/poor sellers **BENEFITS** - Generous and unlimited team discount across all brands - up to 50% off and clothing allowance so that you look and feel #AMAZING. - Countless personal and professional development opportunities including education and training in person and online, access to inspiring guest speakers and volunteering days with DECJUBA Foundation partners. - Progressive leave policies including paid parental leave. - Access to health and wellbeing programs. - #AMAZING team culture with regular events to celebrate all things DECJUBA. **OUR CULTURE** - We are committed to providing an #AMAZING working environment, empowered by five core values: Honesty, Bravery, Integrity, Innovation, and Optimism. - We are passionate about our #DREAMTEAM and committed to providing continuous growth and development opportunities. - We aim to open the door to #AMAZING careers in retail, with the opportunity to learn from the best in the business.
