An exciting opportunity has arisen for a **Merchandise Planner**to join a dynamic team at allkinds.
Reporting to the GM of Merchandise Planning and working closely with the product team, this role will be responsible for the development of the Non-Formulated merchandise budgets and option assortment plan, regular projections and forecasts and maintaining WSSI in order to effectively trade the product division across all channels.
**THE ROLE**:
- Preparation and ongoing management of the Non Formulated Merchandise plans
- Monthly Forecast reviews, updating sales, stocks, markdowns, margin and GP
- Managing class, category budgets and ongoing analysis
- Establish and maintain item plans for all key items, ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained.
- Quantification of new collections
- Weekly reporting and Ad hoc tasks
- Set up relevant promotional activity and markdowns
- Provide daily and weekly sales reporting and insights to the business
- Post Seasonal Analysis by Class, category, and style for Non Formulated ranges
- Aged and slow sellers analysis - make markdown & promotion recommendations
- On-site role 5-days per week, based in our St Kilda Road offices.
**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**:
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar Merchandise Planner role
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent in Business, Commerce or Retail Management (preferred)
- Strong forecasting and financial management skills
- Sound planning and organisation skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft office suites especially Excel (Adobe suite a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
