Consequently, they are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter on a permanent full-time basis. This is a newly created role and will be heavily involved in the commissioning of new equipment as we look to expand our Dandenong factory, effectively doubling our current production capacity. The role is responsible for coordinating maintenance activities in line with operational requirements and minimizing downtime on processing equipment and ensuring compliance with fully documented work order and permit systems.

Ideally, you will have experience working in an FMCG manufacturing environment, in similar roles. As an experienced Maintenance Fitter, you will be TRADE CERTIFIED in Australia and have proven, confident well-rounded experience in your tools of trade and in the following:

- Minimum 3years experience in the maintenance and repair of automated systems within extrusion and Doy pouch machine packing.
- General fabrication of structural plant and equipment.
- Metal fabrication experience including strong Stick, Tig & Mig welding skills
- Restricted Electrical connect/disconnect certification (preferred but not mandatory to apply)
- Hold a current Forklift or High-Risk Licence and Drivers Licence
- Commitment & adherence to WHS compliance standards in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Excellent Mechanical fault finding and repair skills
- Demonstrate proficient root cause analysis and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and to establish priorities and plan work
- Proactive approach to continuous improvements
- An open communicator to liaise with Production team members as well as Management

General working hours are 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 6am - 6pm, with a flexible attitude to working hours required. We pay competitively, with overtime opportunity available, and provide generous productivity incentives for permanent employees.

**Salary**: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
