We are looking for an experienced 'hands on' Maintenance Technician to be responsible for preventative maintenance, faultfinding and breakdowns on a range of manufacturing equipment. You will work as part of a team which values teamwork and showing flexibility to assist each other where required.

We currently have 2 positions available with variable working patterns. Days of work will be Friday to Tuesday with day and/or afternoon shifts on weekdays, weekends, public holidays. You will also be required to be on call and flexible with the roster.

This position is within the Maintenance Team, located in Dandenong South and reporting directly to the Facility & Maintenance Manager.

**Responsibilities**
- Proven understanding of the operation and maintenance procedures of all site equipment.
- Uphold innovative approach to the position with a view to improve efficiency in the operation and performance in all areas.
- Be able to work in a highly Dynamic manner to ensure that downtime is minimized, and plant efficiency Is optimized.
- Ensure timely and effective completion of all maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a team.
- Exercise strong planning and organizational skills.
- Able to undertake shiftwork. And respond to on call.
- Troubleshooting analysis skills.
- Contribute to maintaining zero LTI site.
- Excellent communication Skills.

**Job Requirements**:
**Required Experience**
- Must have a Mechanical trade and/or Engineering qualifications
- Maintenance fitter trade qualifications preferably in manufacturing
- Food/FMCG manufacturing experience is preferred
- Must have a Confined Space certificate, EWP license and Forklift license
- Knowledge experience in servicing equipment to include - mechanical components, bearings and pneumatics.
- Understanding of automated processing systems
- Maintenance database experience

**Preferred Experience**
- 3 years in a food manufacturing environment and compliance standards
- Experience in Tig welding experience
- Servicing of specialized processing equipment, e.g. homogeniser, separator, spray dryer
- Knowledge about Spare parts interpreting
- Experience in Maintenance Planning
