WHO YOU ARE

With a strong eye for detail and aesthetics, you have a passion for design and home furnishings. You also are passionate about conveying our designs in an innovative and memorable way to connect to our customers. You thrive on working in a fast paced, creative environment where you work to tight deadlines. This is a physical, fast-paced role so you will need a practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work with a variety of tools including ladders and power tools. You have a formal tertial qualification in interior design along with industry experience. Experience with Revit will be highly preferred, and experience with AutoCad, SketchUp and Adobe CC Suite is highly regarded but not essential. You are also available to work across the store opening hours, including some late nights and weekends.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Interior Design Co-worker, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Using your passion for home furnishing to contribute to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
- Stimulating and increasing the interest in home furnishing through constantly showing new and inspiring solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA store frequently.
- Assisting in building furniture and setting up new room-sets when required.
- Using the IKEA product range to show the distinct and different styles that appeal to many individual tastes and needs within the local market.
- Reflecting the IKEA Brand identity by creating visual impact in all commercial, sales support, and co-worker areas.

ABOUT THIS WORK AREA

Where others see furniture and homeware products, the store interior design team see smart and relevant solutions that help create a better home life for people in the local market. With a great deal of knowledge on how to solve people’s needs, the interior design team utilizes smart, functional, sustainable and affordable IKEA products to create environments that excite and engages our visitors. Inspiring our IKEA visitors that they can do it too
