- **Purpose of the role**_
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for providing residents with maintenance services (both the internal and external environment). Maintenance includes preventative maintenance, allocated maintenance from the maintenance management system and other duties specified and directed by management.
**In this role, you will be responsible for the following (but not limited to)**:
- Respond to daily work requests for allocated facilities and services.
- Undertake and complete preventative maintenance duties as per the maintenance program and appropriately allocated maintenance projects and ensure they are completed as scheduled and within the required timeframe.
- Ensuring maintenance work undertaken is compliant with Harbison standards and WHS policy.
- Enabling care and accommodation services are delivered in a safe, sustainable, and homelike environment through the timely undertaking of planned and unplanned maintenance.
- Ensuring all contractors attending sites have had appropriate site induction and are working safely.
- Inform managers & / or their staff are advised when maintenance work will impact a service area.
- Respond to logged maintenance requests in the computerized maintenance management system within the required timeframe.
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families, being empathic and understanding of the needs of aged residents.
- Adhering to the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission’s requirements.
- **Role Requirements**_
- Recent experience in general maintenance within aged care would be an advantage.
- Trade qualification is desirable but not essential.
- A current NSW driver's licence.
- A strong commitment to customer service and relationship building.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain buildings and equipment to comply with legislation and/or corporate standards.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- You are comfortable with new technologies and proficient in Microsoft programs.

Pay: $31.13 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
