**About the Role**

We are looking for a talented **Materials and Operations Planner** to join our team. This critical position ensures that production runs smoothly by managing scheduling, inventory, and materials planning while supporting sales and operational targets. You will work closely with production teams and stakeholders across the business to achieve optimal efficiency and outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Production scheduling for extrusion lines to meet business needs.
- Communicate schedule updates and changes to production teams.
- Plan materials to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor production workflows and report inefficiencies to the Production Manager.
- Track daily production progress and highlight variances to the Production Manager.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Investigate and resolve issues to enhance operational efficiency.
- Advise the Production Manager on Labor requirements and assist with shift rostering.
- Provide technical support and develop quotations for customers.
- Maintain Bills of Materials and planning master data.
- Ensure all material data sheets for extruded products are accurate and up-to-date.
- Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) protocols and legislation.
- Assist with special projects and perform additional tasks as required.

**About You**

To succeed in this role, you will:

- Hold tertiary qualifications in Polymers, Materials, or Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have intermediate Excel skills.
- Demonstrate experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Be detail-oriented, highly motivated, and have a strong work ethic.
- Excel in time management and organizational skills.
- Preferably have experience in production supervision or process engineering.
