RPG Australia is a leading steel processing company that specialise in the delivery of integrated steel solutions. We provide pressing, rolling and profiling services to different industries all throughout Australia.

We are currently looking for a Warehouse/Materials Handler (Plate) to join our busy team at Wacol and work the day shift, from 6.00am to 2.00pm (Monday to Friday).

This is an opportunity to work within a busy and highly motivated team, whilst gaining hands on experience alongside people with extensive steel experience, where no two days are the same.

In this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Unload / load incoming /outgoing trucks and manage plate arrivals via overhead crane and forklift

  • Supply material to the profile machines for cutting;

  • Storage of full and remnant plate;

  • Liaising with CAD and Profile Team to maintain job schedule;

  • General warehouse duties;

  • Following the correct safety procedures at all times.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the steel industry would be an advantage;

  • Experience in the use of overhead cranes;

  • Current forklift licence is essential;

  • Sound knowledge of warehousing operations;

  • Excellent communication skills;

  • An ability to work autonomously and as part of team.
