**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Assist with production issues in Data Warehouses like reloading data, transformations, and translations
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and operations related issues including data availability, capacity, and performance. Provide prompt and complete resolution to technical challenges and business issues
- Development of scripts using Bash, Python for loading, extracting, and transforming data
- Priorities request/Incidents etc based on requirement and complete/fix them within SLA
- Implementing ETL pipelines within and outside of a data warehouse using Python and Snowflakes Snow SQL
- Develop a Database Design and Reporting Design based on Business Intelligence and Reporting requirements
- Design, optimize, and maintain data architecture and pipelines that adhere to ETL principles and business goals
- Gathering and cleaning business data to provide ready-to-work inputs for Data Scientists and other users
- Ensuring data availability on data platform and make data available for consumption
- Implementing ETL processes
- Monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes
- Work on Data visualization tools such as Spotfire and PowerBI
- Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and provide required solutions though standard service delivery framework
- As part of Snowflake operations team work on to create Snowflake storage integrations, Engineering teams’ creation, snowflake role creation, Database/schema creation, User access provisioning/Management etc. Troubleshooting and fixing day to day issues on platform which is raised by end users. Take proactive measures to avoid issues on snowflake platform.
- Setting up resource monitors, RBAC controls, virtual warehouse sizing, query performance tuning.
- S3 bucket creation, IAM user management, updating user policies to allow cross AWS account data transfer.
- Ensuring Data security on Snowflake by incorporating security mechanisms like ACL’s and Network policies.
- Assist in Data Migration from RDBMS to Snowflake cloud data warehouse
- Ensuring jobs are running fine without an issue on snowflake platform by ensuring pipeline get pass every time on Gitlab.
- Assisting other teams to create their Project on GitLab and assist new users to setup there GitLab environment.
- Used to update flyway configurations on demand. Update Cloud formation script as per requirement
- Working extensively on GitLab and removing previous code which failing subsequent jobs in DEV, UAT and PROD environment.
- Prioritizing incident, request and change task depending on requirement, assist in implementing changes on platform. Monitoring Splunk notifications
- Asist in creating Data pipeline using Streamsets, Implementing ETL processes
- As per requirement Jumped from Snowflake ops team(Initially worked as SPOC in Snowflake ops team) to Cloudera team and performed entire Development cluster decommissioning and brought down more than half of Production cluster nodes without much impact on end users, after completing task started working on Snowflake again.
- Along with Snowflake managing High Availability and performance of Hadoop Cluster, responsible for data movement in and out of cluster and troubleshoot, debug Hadoop eco system runtime issues. ensuring all Cluster components are running fine. Fixing end user issues.
- Setting up data Pipeline between HDFS and S3 also configured connection between BI Tools Spotfire, PowerBI and Snowflake/Cloudera
- Taking care of Cloudera Cluster: Maintenance, Troubleshooting, performance tuning, resource optimization, backup and recovery, security, capacity planning.
- Has very good understanding on Cloudera and Snowflake data management platform and gain expertise on it.

**Skill and Experience Requirements**:

- 8 years of experience in IT industry in which 6 years of operational experience in managing cloud-based services
- Having good experience and working knowledge on Snowflake, Linux, AWS cloud.
- Having good understanding and expertise on Apache Hadoop, Cloudera, Hortonworks(HDP).
- Including ecosystem components like HDFS, MapReduce, Yarn, Hbase, Hive, Oozie, Hue, Zookeeper, Sqoop, Spark, Impala, Kafka, Flume, Kudu
- Experience in managing AWS cloud: EC2, S3, EMR, EBS, RDS, IAM, Cloud Watch, Cloud Formation, Redshift, VPC, F5 load balancer, DRS, Storage Gateway etc.
- Experience with CI/CD technology. Managing GIT
