Venue Manager

The Fresh Collective is recruiting for an experienced Venue Manager for the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra.

We are looking for a star who is personable and well-presented—a hospitality natural. You will have an innate ability to oversee front-of-house operations, including managing all café and service-related tasks to ensure our many guests receive professional and courteous service.

Reporting to our General Manager, this position is responsible for driving the growth and quality of F&B operations and managing an amazing group of service staff.

**The Role**
- Manage and oversee a successful café and a range of functions and events on-site
- Lead an exceptional front of house team, with the kitchen team indirectly reporting in
- Deliver great customer service to regular patrons and guests
- Maintain and enhance positive relationships between back and front of house teams
- Achieve P&L budgets

**About you**
- Prior experience managing a busy and successful venue and events
- Proven time management skills
- Business savvy mindset
- A high achieving approach with the ability to guide, drive and mentor a team of staff
- Friendly personality, with a focus on providing top level customer service
- A passion for the hospitality industry
- Valid RSA
