Disability Support Worker - Dural NSW

We are seeking an experienced Support Worker to assist with complex care of a paediatric client. Duties will include gastrostomy feeds, medication administration, oral and nasal suctioning and daily living activities.

Experience with paediatric clients and gastrostomies preferred.

Hours are Thursday and Friday 10am - 2pm

Home Caring Kellyville is an ethical and fast-growing provider of NDIS services in North Western Sydney.

Our Support Workers are home-based and utilise a mobile work model (with electronic support for administration), attracting a travel reimbursement and ongoing training opportunities, appropriate to client need.

**Requirements**:

- A genuine passion to work alongside participants to make a positive and lasting difference in their lives
- Professional or lived experience of the NDIS and/or Aged Care sectors
- Experience of complex behaviours and behaviour support methods (a bonus - not a requirement)
- Excellent communication skills, commitment to a person-centred focus and flexibility to support needs based on individual circumstances
- A sense of humour (another bonus - not a requirement)
- Resilience and compassion
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Qualification in Disability, Aged Care or related field preferred
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR certificate
- Current National Police check
- Current NSW Drivers Licence & access to a reliable vehicle
- The right to work in Australia
- Full Covid-19 vaccination
- Different cultural backgrounds welcome, but not necessary

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $28.00 - $37.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Morning shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
