The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Principal Analyst to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Lead the development of automated analytical tools that provide timely, accurate and high quality overview of safety and quality with an innovative approach to shared clinical information
- Develop and deliver data analysis and reports on patient safety and quality to inform clinical governance and support the delivery of high-quality, safe, and reliable clinical services

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- This position would be suitable for individuals from a range of professional backgrounds.
- The following skills would be highly desirable:

- Advanced skills in relational database management.
- Advanced skills in the development of reports and dashboards using contemporary business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, etc.
- Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, particularly in data modelling.
- While not mandatory, relevant training/qualifications in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Quality Improvement would be well regarded.
- Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against - COVID 19
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be completed

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $122 108 - $131 044 per annum

The Clinical Governance Service is comprised of different teams which work together to manage the efficient flow of data, analysis and reporting. These teams include Patient Safety and Quality Improvement, Clinical Performance, Audit and Compliance, Consumer Feedback Services, and Data Analytics Team. Based in Southport.
