**About us**

Our client, a global leader in the supply of industrial blasting and painting equipment, are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join their busy team in Perth. As a Service Technician you will play a vital role in the testing, repair, installation and commissioning of blasting and painting equipment as well as performing troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. You will be highly motivated, with a can-do attitude, whilst focusing on providing exceptional levels of customer service coupled with excellent interpersonal skills. Your time will be spent out on customers sites as well as within the office located in Welshpool.

- Monday to Friday - 7:30am - 4:30pm.

**About the role**

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for the following:

- Installing and testing products, equipment, and machinery and providing instructions to customers on the proper usage of their product.
- Keeping equipment available for use by completing preventative maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades.
- Diagnosing errors and technical problems to determine proper solutions to produce timely and detailed service reports.
- Collaborate with the technical team and share information across the organisation to build positive relationships with clients and co-workers.
- Satisfy customer needs by making appropriate recommendations and briefings using appropriate tools, procedures, and protocols.
- Establish assistance by studying system requirements, including essential components and parts, completing the installation, and performing quality assurance tests.
- Travel as required to carry out site maintenance of rental equipment.
- Maintain accurate service records.

**To be successful, you will possess the following**:

- Knowledge and experience of industrial painting and blasting equipment _essential._
- Strong mechanical aptitude _essential._
- Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics and pneumatics _highly desirable._
- Competent in the use of tooling and equipment relating to servicing and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to identify and diagnose technical problems and determine proper solutions in a timely manner.
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to build new and foster ongoing customer relationships.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be highly motivated, taking pride in delivering quality levels of workmanship.
