Support the Australian Defence industry by supporting submarine maintenance at Henderson

Australian company who has been operating for over 60 years they specialise across multiple industries ensuring their stability in all economies; across the 6 business units they offer service to Defence, Oil & Gas, Industrial Gas, Mining, Marine and Rail. Operations based South of the River with on site repairs at Henderson and Garden Island.

**Your new role**

As a Service Technician you will join the Perth operational team working alongside other experienced Technicians and reporting in to the Maintenance Manager. As a Service Technician you will work on Submarine maintenance specifically on pneumatic and hydraulic valve refurbishments.
- Refurbishment of a wide range of complex valve assemblies used in critical submarine systems
- Interpret and follow detailed inspection and test plans, assembly drawings and service instructions
- Operate a lathe
- Perform functional pressure testing on pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Complete inspection and test documentation
- Perform onboard maintenance and system recertification on RAN vessels, primarily submarines
- Adhere to all safety legislation and procedures
- Liaise with customers when required

**What you'll need to succeed**

As a Service Technician you will be part of an experienced maintenance team ensuring that you are all meeting the customer's needs, you will also be required to work autonomously on all maintenance and repair jobs.
- Mechanical trade qualification
- Mechanical ability enabling you to work on planned maintenance and unplanned repairs
- High attention to detail
- Good communication skills so that you can speak to customers
- Strong safety focus
