About the Role
As a temporary Principal Program Officer in the Kindergarten Programs unit you will be responsible for leading the implementation of projects and activities to support the operation of the State Delivered Kindergarten program and the development of initiatives for state funded or delivered kindergarten in unique contexts.
You must be highly organised, agile, able to manage competing priorities and expectations and also have the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with regional stakeholders.
You will be required to think creatively, research and analyse issues and synthesise complex information into clear outputs to make informed recommendations to senior and executive management, often under tight timeframes.
About You
**As the Principal Program Officer, you will**:
- Be a strategic thinker;
- Be highly organised and able to manage competing priorities;
- Have a strong background in one or more of the following - the legislative frameworks applicable to the regulation of early childhood, program management, policy, evaluation, governance, stakeholder management, evaluation, risk management, budget management and corporate governance and reporting;
- Be flexible and agile to support and lead work across a number of programs and projects;
- Be an exceptional writer and communicator;
- Have excellent attention to detail and coordination skills;
- Be great at stakeholder engagement and negotiation; and
- Be a committed team player, display leadership qualities and be collaborative.
