**About the Role**:
The Support Coordinator plays an integral role for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants in interpreting their NDIS plan, assisting them to establish the supports in their plan. The key aim of Support Coordination is to develop the participants capacity to manage their own support and exercise absolute choice and control.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting NDIS Participants to:

- Proactively assessing a number of mainstream, community, informal and NDIS provider options and selecting preferred options and providers.
- Actively supporting participants in the negotiation of services and their pricing
- Executing Service Agreement with providers within the agreed timeframes
- Supporting our participants or their nominees to understand their budget to ensure supports can be delivered over the course of the plan
- Where applicable, support with engaging plan managers to establish the appropriate claim categories and attribute the correct amount of funds
- An exceptional understanding of the NDIS, including the core principles of the scheme including NDIS legislation and rules.
- Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS Price Guide and flexibility within budgets.
- Exceptional time management skills and an ability to use CMS to record activity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including other services providers, participants families and plan managers
- Proven experience within a similar role

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Minimum qualifications - Certificate III in Disability.
- DHS Disability Clearance/NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Driver's Licence
- Unrestricted Working Rights in Australia
- Proficient written and verbal communication
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Fully Vaccinated (2 doses + booster of a TGA Approved Vaccination)
