- $94,194pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading

**About our opportunity**

We are seeking a safety professional with a keen interest in safety management systems to join our People, Culture and Safety team

Working closely with the Wellbeing and Safety Manager, you will drive the development and enhancement of current operating processes, procedures, governance and provide advice in developing a robust, practical WHS Management System. You'll also:

- Contribute to a framework which allows all of Council’s operations to be managed in a preventative and proactive method, whereby safety is at the forefront of all workplace activity.
- Provide expert analysis of WHS data to monitor, record and measure WHS performance and risk, and identify and action opportunities and quality improvements.
- Collaborate and consult with the senior leadership of Council to ensure robust methods, principles, processes and rules are in place to assess and effectively manage risks, minimising threat to staff and the business.
- Contribute to processes that ensures that all staff are well trained in the safe working requirements and procedures of Council and any special safety requirements of operations or specific sites relevant to your team are well understood by all team members.
- Monitor relevant legislation and regulation changes, and implement any required changes to ensure all operational systems remain compliant.

You will be an essential part of our team as we focus on fast track deliverables around organisational systems with a view of improving the methodology behind managing safety.

**About you**

We are seeking someone experienced in developing, implementing and reviewing WHS management systems and improving standards, policies and procedures to achieve WHS objectives looking for that next challenge

You will bring substantial experience in undertaking statistical data analysis with the proven ability to develop quality, purposeful performance reports.

We will look to you for your knowledge and understanding of WHS legislation, codes of practice, applicable Australian Standards and industry guidelines, monitoring compliance to applicable laws, regulations, requirements and standards.

With a strong analytical mindset and exceptional interpersonal skills to quickly build those quality working relationships throughout the organisation, you will quickly become a valuable member of our team.
