Compliance Officer

**The Role**
**Based in our North Sydney office, we are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer for a 12-month contract **to join us on our mission to help people succeed. The purpose of the Compliance Officer role is to assist the Compliance team maintain Pepper’s compliance framework.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Completion of activities to ensure Pepper is compliant with relevant AML legislation in both Australia and New Zealand, and
- Providing compliance advice and support on compliance related matters, and
- Assisting with compliance monitoring to ensure that Pepper’s policies, practices and programs are consistently applied and embedded throughout the business and are appropriate.

**About You**

**To be successful in this role, you'll have**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience within the retail banking/ consumer financial services industry, and/or experience in a role that requires adherence to policy and regulation in respect of regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of AML/CTF laws and rules.
- Completion of a compliance industry qualification (e.g. Certificate IV in Compliance & Risk management) would be desirable.
- Understanding of financial services regulatory compliance requirements in Australia.
- Possess excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
