Our client is a world-wide leading metals & electronics recycling company based in Alexandria. Due to continued growth, an opportunity now exists for an experienced Excavator Operator/Material Handler who can confidently work in various work conditions. This is a very hands-on role which will require high attention to detail & fast thinking

The shift available is 7am-3:30pm, ASAP start, on-going. Weekend and overtime work opportunity.

Your duties include:

- Material handler/excavator operation to load/unload various yard processing equipment and trucks safely, respectfully and responsibly at all times
- Work with our Leading Hand to ensure production schedules are met
- Keeping machines and equipment maintained daily and kept clean and tidy inside and out
- General yard maintenance

To be successful, you must:

- Have good problem solving skills and outstanding eye for detail
- Experience in a busy environment where you are able to remain calm under pressure
- Strong Communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a small team
- Good planning and prioritising skills
- Strong focus on safety
- Basic preventative maintenance
- Excavator ticket & previous experience preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

**Salary**: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Alexandria NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- White Card (preferred)
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
