Hurstville, Australia Alt. Hospitality Group Full time

**Because risk management should be more than ticking boxesit should give peace of mind.**

At Alt. Hospitality Group, we don't just set the bar—we raise it. With a portfolio that spans award-winning hospitality venues, gaming operations, boutique accommodation, and commercial properties, we’re on the lookout for a Group Compliance & Risk Manager who can bring order, foresight, and structure to the exciting complexity of our business.

**This is no back-office gig.**
You’ll report directly to the CEO and be embedded in the leadership fabric of the organisation—engaging with Executive leaders, frontline teams, and external regulators to ensure we're not only compliant but leading the industry in responsible governance.

**The Role**
As Group Compliance & Risk Manager, you’ll lead the charge across multiple disciplines:

- ** Liquor & Gaming**: Ensure our venues run responsibly and within license—from RSA/RCG training to incident registers.
- ** AML/CTF**: Serve as the AML Compliance Officer, overseeing AUSTRAC obligations and reporting requirements.
- ** WHS**: Champion safe work environments and compliance with SafeWork NSW legislation.
- ** Food Safety & Environmental Health**: Support venues with inspections, food handling standards, and hygiene protocols.
- ** Governance & Policy**: Manage compliance registers, frameworks, and documentation that are auditable and aligned.
- ** Risk Management & Audit**: Maintain the Group Risk Register, lead internal audits, and keep the CEO and Board informed.

You’ll also be the key contact during audits, inspections, or compliance incidents—responding with confidence, structure, and clarity.

**Who You Are**
You're a seasoned operator with a practical mindset, an eye for detail, and the ability to build systems that work in the real world. You’re comfortable advising Executives and have the nous to turn legislative jargon into operational action.

**We’re looking for someone who brings**:

- 5+ years in a senior compliance, risk, or governance role (hospitality or gaming industry experience preferred)
- In-depth understanding of NSW and Federal regulations across Liquor & Gaming, AML/CTF, WHS, Food Safety, and Privacy
- Experience dealing with regulators like L&GNSW, AUSTRAC, SafeWork, and local councils
- Strong policy writing and reporting skills—plus the confidence to lead conversations with executives
- A hands-on, systems-driven approach grounded in operational reality

Formal qualifications in Law, Risk Management, or Compliance? Even better.

**Why Join Alt. Hospitality Group?**
- We’re on a transformational journey—this role has direct input into Group-wide strategy.
- You’ll report to the CEO and work closely with the Executive Committee.
- We’re serious about compliance, not just from a legal lens—but because we believe it’s the right way to run a business.

**Sound like your kind of challenge?**

Please note: this role will require flexibility across multiple sites in Greater Sydney. You will also be required to complete the necessary background employment checks.
