This newly created role will be responsible for achieving profitable growth by building and maintaining professional relationships with new and existing customers, partners, and key stakeholders. The business relationship specialist is accountable for developing and maintaining a portfolio of high value business that encompasses renewals and new business within a specified risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide a customer focused approach to all customer activities and show a genuine affinity to the customer situation and needs
- Deliver on SME Directs unique Client Value Proposition (CVP)
- Conduct a minimum of 2 customer health checks annually to effectively support the customer and have a positive impact on renewal retention
- Maintain the required knowledge of SME Directs suite of product offerings encompassing product features, benefits, inclusions, and exclusions
- Clearly explain to customers how they can lodge a claim on their policy (if required)
- Comply with your personal underwriting authority Licence D preferred
- Manage time effectively to ensure delivery timeframes are met

Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated passion for customer service
- General insurance knowledge and experience
- Previous experience in running a portfolio
- Sales experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Solid organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Conflict Resolution skills
- Self-awareness
- Financial acumen
- Trained to the level of Tier 1 PS146 in relation to general insurance products (or progress towards)
