**About the client**:
The Australian Packaging Covenant of Australia (APCO) is a co-regulatory, not-for-profit organisation partnering with governments and industries to reduce the environmental impact of packaging.

APCO aims to change the culture of business and educate consumers through the implementation of unique partnerships, projects, and programs and the subsequent promotion of sustainable packaging activities including sustainable design, recycling initiatives, waste to landfill reduction, and circular economy.

**About the role**:
You will have a passion and interest in sustainability, the circular economy and saving the planet. You are intellectually curious about sustainability initiatives, innovations, and trends and you thrive at researching, analysing and disseminating information relevant to these areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates in Science, Sustainability, Energy, or Climate Change who thrive in an environment that involves extracting, evaluating, and presenting the information.

**Duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Research, communicate and stay up to date on international and national sustainability initiatives
- Provide insights that demonstrate a strong understanding of sustainability goals, lifecycle values and systematic thinking
- Provide advice and undertake research for a variety of projects
- Support the maintenance of relationships with industry associations, community groups, partners, members and government
- Being the first point of contact for sustainability issues for the APCO team and represent the organisation in relevant forums
- Administrative tasks including CRM reporting and KPI setting

**To be successful, you will have**:

- Ability to conduct research, undertake analysis and communicate findings both verbally and in written materials
- Ideally a tertiary degree in sustainability, science or the environment.
- Strong customer service ethic and the ability to support the delivery of projects and programs
- Solid stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
