**About the position**

The Works Operator position includes a broad range of jobs delivered across Council’s community infrastructure including utilities, roads, and parks providing maintenance and improvement works. Works operators provide skilled and professional laboring, truck driving, plant operating, and other duties involved in the construction and maintenance of Council’s roads, drainage, bridges, parks, reserves, water and sewer networks.

**About you**
- Previous demonstrated experience in teamwork, general labouring tasks and use of plant and machinery (trucks, rollers, graders, mowers or whipper snippers, etc.)
- Safework NSW General Construction Induction card (or willingness to obtain)
- Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Plans, formally yellow / blue traffic card (desirable)
- Class C driver licence;
- MR, HR or HC truck driver licence (desirable or willingness to obtain)
- Certificate of Competency in Front end loader; Skid steer loader; Excavator; and motor grader (desirable or willingness to obtain)

**We offer**
- **Permanent Full Time**, 38 hours per week, with a gross weekly salary from $1122.48 to $1261.12 based on demonstrated competencies, qualifications, skills and experience. Plus 11.5% superannuation and access to a 9-day fortnight system.
- **Casual** with an hourly rate from $36.9240 to $41.4845 (inclusive of casual loading, plus superannuation) based on demonstrated competencies, qualifications, skills and experience.
