This role will be based in their modern, open-plan office within the lively suburb of Richmond.
**Your new role**
This organisation is seeking a dynamic and organised individual to join their team as a part-time account payable professional. In this role, you will be reporting to the office manager and the director. This is an autonomous role which will support and suit someone who is looking for more of a work-life balance. Some of your duties may include:
- Collaborate and liaise with project teams, ensuring smooth reporting and meeting cash flow deadlines.
- Support Contract Administrators by efficiently entering invoices into the workbench system.
- Implement effective workflow systems to prevent invoice duplication, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Work closely with Contract Administrators to optimise payment terms and address frequent enquiries, striving for continuous improvement.
- Take charge of mid-month and end-of-month payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Coordinate with our dedicated bookkeeper to ensure remittance advice is promptly sent out.
- Manage daily enquiries in the AP inbox and respond to phone queries with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Organise and maintain proper filing of invoices, contributing to a streamlined and organised accounting process.
- Provide general administration and support to the Office Manager, assisting with various tasks as needed.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role will need:
- At least 2 years experience in a similar position (end-to-end AP)
- Experience working with Myob and workbench (desired)
- Strong attention to detail
- Amazing communication skills and confidence to work within a dynamic team environment and be able to engage with staff at all levels.
- Prior experience in construction advantageous, but not essential
