- Position summary:_

The purpose of this position is to action project based design work within the Design Department covering all areas of the customisation and visualisation of Interface product.

- rea of Responsibility:_

Project specific Concept Design 80%
- Creates innovative product custom colour solutions.
- Creates conceptual 2D floor designs as well as detailed floorplan documentation for install.
- Visualises product in both 2D and 3D outputs and creates clear and effective design presentations.
- Takes project from initial brief to completion, managing all aspect of the project.
- Liaising directly with Account Managers and their A&D and trade customers.
- Manage the custom sampling process including quality control. Ensuring the correct checks and measures are followed and any foreseeable issue are discussed with production.

Concept Design consultation 10%
- Provides ‘on the road’ concept design services to current and prospective clients. Specifically, introducing clients to design services, taking briefs, working though customisation solutions and presenting work.
- Travels interstate on average once per month for 2 days to facilitate Concept Design services in our other States.

Market awareness 2%
- Remains aware of current design activities and trends through continued research, design industry events, exhibitions, seminars and workshops.
- Understands and keeps abreast of who our competitors are and what products they have in the market.

General 8%
- Assists in department improvements projects such as updating the creative Image Bank, maintaining digital product libraries, setting up studio templates and maintaining archives.
- Assists in the launching of new products to Sales with 3D imagery and the creation of pallets.
- Creating 3D imagery for Marketing collateral when required.
- Assists in the customisation workshop on client engagement exercises such as Mill Tours.
- Creates floor designs for exhibitions and events as well as floor designs for Interface offices and showrooms.

- Qualifications and Experience required_
- Design Degree qualification essential (Textile/Interior Design)
- 2-5 years industry experience is preferred
- Intermediate computer skills
- 2 year professional experience in Adobe Creative Suite or higher essential
- Good Communication skills
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Independent thinker and shows initiative
- Administrative ability and excellent organisation
