Fixed Income Officer

Sitting within Citi's Equities and Fixed Interest settlement teams, this role will be providing support to the local Citigroup Global Markets Australia Equities, Fixed Income trading and Finance desks with oversight of all customer service support and control function processes.

**Key Accountabilities**:
Responsibility for Management of the Equities Settlement and the Fixed Income Settlements teams, covering both the people and technical requirements.

Ownership of control functions and all post execution exception processes for Equities and Fixed Income..

Responsibility for monitoring exception reports, reconciliations and daily/monthly dashboard signoffs, to ensure all issues are resolved/addressed in a timely manner.

Oversight and validation of trades in accordance with ALPS trade confirmation requirements.

Responsibility for Reporting, investigation and follow up of Failed Trades, metrics and commentary.

Responsibility for Monitoring the RBA Repo trades to ensure we have securities on hand to deliver before cutoff and ensure no exceptions

Oversight and ownership of Regulatory Reporting requirements to ASX and ASIC assisting compliance with any related queries.

Monitoring of Repo Margining calls and settlement as required.

Client interaction, BAU escalation point for any client issues. Including regular OCRM domestic client visits to improve customer service.

Delivery management/Depot re-alignments of Fixed income bonds for all entities as required between Euroclear and local depositories

Monthly MIS creation and data analysis to optimize customer service. Combined with representing AU FICC MO within monthly local RMC, (Risk Management Committee)

Liaise with customers and internally with Securities Services (custody) to resolve settlement discrepancies as well continuing to build partnerships with the business.

Assisting the Head of Capital Markets Operations with day to day operation and strategic requirements for the Fixed income and Equities Operations teams.'

**Experience Required**:
Understanding of general business and financial Markets principles.

Basic Accounting and understanding of Stock and Cash reconciliation processes.

Minimum Software literacy of ‘intermediate’ in relation to Excel and MS Word.

Appreciation and understanding of the key treasury controls such as the importance and impact of unconfirmed trades or outstanding settlement reconciliation items.

Knowledge of settlements and payments systems.

Basic knowledge of Local and International Financial Bonds Markets from a settlements perspective.

Ability to work in a team with a willingness to learn from others, share knowledge and accept added responsibility as and when required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Able to recognise problems early and offer suitable solutions for resolution.

Identify opportunities for simplification and streamlining of processes

Previous experience in a Financial Markets operations role is preferable.
