**About the role**:
As the Head of Investment Risk, you will be responsible for embedding the Hostplus Risk Management Framework to support the identification, management and reporting of risks within the Investments and Investment Operations functions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To continuously improve and provide independent review and challenge of the Investment Governance Framework;
- Develop and embed the ongoing process for the identification, management and reporting of emerging risks within the Investments and Investment Operations functions;
- Oversee the second line assurance program for Investments and Investment Operations;
- Participation in decision-making to support risk-based considerations that are consistent with the Hostplus Risk Management Framework and business plan;
- Participate as an independent member of key investment related governance forums;
- Effectively challenge the activities and decisions that materially affect the Hostplus risk profile;
- Collaborate with the Head of Enterprise Risk in the identification of ongoing improvements to the Hostplus Risk Management Framework;
- Work with the Risk, Compliance and Legal team to build a cohesive and collaborative risk and compliance team to ensure effective and efficient risk and compliance oversight;
- Manage and motivate team members through leading by example and being an integral part of the Risk Leadership Team AND
- Assist in the collation and presentation of Board and Committee reports as required

**About you**:

- You will have significant experience in the financial services industry, specifically within an investment risk management, internal audit, or compliance role as well as experience in a strategic leadership role;
- You will have hands-on experience in the design and development of Risk Management frameworks and strategies as they relate to investment risk;
- You will possess strong working knowledge of assurance methodology, approach, techniques and management practices AND
- You will have advanced technical knowledge of Financial Industry, in particular the Australian superannuation industry regulatory environment and emerging practice and concepts including a working knowledge of the Corporations Act, SIS Act and other applicable legislation
