IT Test Manager

Your role as an IT Test Manager will manage the testing Projects in technology with outcomes related to our Merchandising processes in David Jones. Your excellent project management skills will allow you to make a real impact in this area and our overall customer journey.

Reporting to the IT Domain Manager, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of testing and quality assurance for all projects. We are looking for someone who is comfortable liaising with multiple stakeholders and working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Based in Melbourne with a hybrid mix of time in the office and from home, this role will suit an experience technology professional who has a passion for the retail space. You will naturally have the ability to adapt in a changing environment and take initiative to suggest improvements with a curious mindset.

What does the role involve?
- Perform duties as required for Testing Environment management i.e. Developing the framework and processes to track, manage and refresh test environments.
- Drive partnership with Business and IT stakeholders to define test strategy, plans and schedules.
- Create test cases, test data and expected results from requirements review and test scenario
- Providing timely reporting of test preparation and execution metrics using the appropriate test management tools, including test case preparation status, test case execution status and defect status.
- Lead test project teams to meet test deliverables within agreed timeframes and budgets.
- Support the IT Testing Manager in defining test estimates and key issues/risks surrounding a project.
- Liaise with business users, IT analysts, project managers, developers and third-party vendors.
- Contribute to continual improvement of the testing processes

Who are we looking for?
- Tertiary Qualifications in Computer science or equivalent
- Technical experience in RMS, POS or Online is highly advantageous
- Retail Domain experience with a strong understanding of supply chain and online fulfilment.
- Proven ability to lead a team of test analysts and senior test analysts.
- Strong Knowledge of DevOps & Agile concepts
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and Test environment management
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and work flexibly
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage confidential information
