Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright automation to join our dynamic team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building, maintaining, and executing automated test frameworks using JavaScript/TypeScript within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Playwright.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and business analysts to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Identify, log, and track defects; ensure timely resolution.
  • Provide insights to improve test strategies, frameworks, and processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of professional experience in Test Automation, with a strong focus on Playwright.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with test reporting, version control (Git), and CI/CD tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with cloud-based testing platforms.

Familiarity with API automation and performance testing.
