**The Role**
RAAF Museum seeks a dynamic and motivated Volunteer Coordinator to coordinate, manage and grow the RAAF Museum volunteer workforce.

In this role you will:

- Assist Operations Officer in assessing and informing volunteer requirements to support RAAF Museum operations;
- Assist Officer-In-Charge Events in assessing and informing volunteer requirements to support RAAF Museum events;
- Assist Officer-In-Charge RAAF Museum in assessing and informing volunteer requirements to support future concept of operations;
- Recruit RAAF Museum volunteers;
- Supervise RAAF Museum volunteers;
- Match RAAF Museum volunteers to work opportunities that suit their skill sets;
- Conduct RAAF Museum volunteer inductions and orientations;
- Manage RAAF Museum volunteer rosters;
- Identify, coordinate and conduct RAAF Museum volunteer education and training opportunities;
- Implement and maintain and RAAF Museum volunteer rewards and recognition;
- Manage and maintain RAAF Museum volunteer records through the Volunteer Management Database;
- Communicate with RAAF Museum volunteers to ensure they are satisfied and well-placed;
- Maintain engagement on behalf of RAAF Museum with other Government agencies, community organisations and community members; and,
- Undertake rostered unit security duty, impromptu and reactive tasks and occasional overtime duties (including weekend work) when required.

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible to Officer-In-Charge RAAF Museum through the Operations Officer for all aspects of RAAF Museum volunteer management including the recruitment, training coordination and rostering of RAAF Museum volunteers.

The Volunteer Coordinator will promote RAAF Museum and volunteer opportunities through local, state and national volunteer networks. The Volunteer Coordinator will develop and implement strategies to grow the RAAF Museum volunteer workforce from 80 to 120 over the next two years.
- Experience in volunteering and recruitment;
- Working knowledge of databases;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Experience in delivering learning and development training packages;
- Excellent organisation and team-building skills; and,
- Experience with Human Resources or related field.
