System Solutions Consultant - Warehouse/Intralogistics Systems

Sydney or Melbourne

Very much in growth mode and expecting a very successful year ahead, our customer is looking for a new Systems Consultant to be based in either Sydney or Melbourne. Reporting directly to the Head of Solutions, the new team member will be instrumental in analysing data, formulating concepts, and developing costing models for intralogistics / warehouse systems projects across ANZ. In this role, you will be intimately involved in the full sales cycle from understanding a target customer's requirements, through to developing a suitable concept and actively selling the benefits of the solution. Specifically, you will
- Liaise with the sales and account management teams to understand client requirements and objectives.
- Act as a technical advisor in client meetings, presentations, and discussions.
- Ensure the solutions developed exceed client expectations and contribute to overall customer satisfaction
- Oversee the design and technical solutions that meet client needs and business objectives.
- Develop cost-effective and attractive concepts in collaboration with various departments.
- Participate in design and proposal reviews.
- Provide design and engineering support when required.
- Developing a strong knowledge of company automation solutions and products
- Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the solutions engineering process.
- Continuously evaluate and improve methodologies for solution design, implementation, and support.
- Engage in project debriefs to understand delivery and translate that into learnings for future solutions.

About you:
If not currently, it is likely that you have recently worked in solutions development for a systems vendor or integrator.

In addition to your degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or applied science and you ambition to develop your career, you will have/be:

- Prior experience in a solutions engineering or similar role.
- Strong understanding of solution architecture and technical consulting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
- A passion for staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Negotiation skills
- Prioritisation skills and assertiveness
- Sound commercial acumen
