What we’re doing

With us, you’ll experience impact. This Delivery Lead role sits within the Lead Conversion Team. This team believes that the connection between agents and consumers should be quick, easy and stress free. They do this by empowering agents to promote their brand to the largest seller audience in Australia. This team is responsible for helping agents and sellers connect.

This role has key strategic importance and visibility within the business. This is a unique role that will focus on delivering solutions & innovations that solve problems/opportunities on both sides of the marketplace (i.e. offering value for consumers, as well as helping our customers attract and convert those opportunities).

The team is part of the Agency Marketplace tribe within the Customer Product and Experience group. When you join the Customer Product and Experience teams, you join a cross-disciplinary group of high achievers representing product, design, delivery, engineering, analytics, sales, go-to-market and marketing, supported by PR, Communications, Legal, Finance and P&C. While no two days are ever the same, you’ll be doing:

- Form a part of the IT leadership team for Lead Conversion, and be jointly accountable for its health, happiness and performance.
- Positively contribute to the culture of your team, build engagement and morale, be involved in recruiting, set structure and processes and build and maintain a high performing team.
- Line management responsibility for up to 6 REA team members, who will require you to mentor them, identify skill gaps, establish development plans and conduct performance reviews.
- Work collaboratively with our partners who will operate as an extension of your teams.
- Responsible for your team’s capital and operational expenses in line with the Lead Conversion budget
- Facilitate and drive the end-to-end delivery of initiatives across cross-functional and distributed agile teams.
- Take the lead at the inception phase to ensure that initiatives are scoped, planned and resourced appropriately.
- Work closely with our Product team to facilitate scope and priority conversations.
- Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team, balancing platform health and custodianship with the delivery of new features.
- Keep senior stakeholders up to ELT level informed and engaged, manage risks and issues and coordinate releases.
- Be responsible for management a program of work and cross team governance.
- Provide advice and thought leadership to ensure successful design and implementation of technology strategies that align with Group and wider REA Strategies.
- Work with our Tech Leads and Architects to assess new technologies and ensure our technology decisions align to REA best practice and can be operationalised.
- Work with the Executive Manager, Engineering to manage, negotiate and execute on any third-party related IT Services and or Products relating to the Tribe.
- You will use your extensive experience to make an impactful contribution to REA beyond your immediate stream of work. You will take an active role in mentoring others and will contribute to the Delivery Guild and broader Tech communities to continue to improve our capabilities.

Who we’re looking for
- 2-3 years of experience leading technology projects using broad range of agile methodologies and in a variety of settings, including distributed teams.
- Practical knowledge of agile software delivery methodologies
- Expert written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced leadership, coordination, motivational, negotiation and dispute resolution skills
- Advanced project management skills, ideally with program management experience.
- Developed understanding of web technologies and complex systems.
- Advanced skills in line managing and mentoring people
- Technical experience in software development projects as a developer, business analyst or similar highly desirable.
