**The Role**
The Department of Defence - Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG) manages nationally, significant projects and sustainment activities that are un-paralleled in size, scope, cost, risk profile and level of complexity. The NSSG chosen partner for the Sustainment of ANZAC Class Ships is the Warship Asset Management Alliance (WAMA).
The WAMA is a Commonwealth, BAE Systems, Naval Ship Management and Saab Systems Alliance (the Alliance), responsible to deliver materially seaworthy warships. The successful applicant will join the WAMA Alliance Office in Rockingham, Western Australia, as a Governance and Assurance Officer, within the Alliance Deputy AGM’s - Business Improvement team and reports to the Quality Assurance Lead.
**About our Team**
The Alliance Deputy AGM’s Business Improvement team is primarily located in Rockingham, Western Australia. Within the Business Improvement team is the Quality Assurance Management teams and the Rockingham element of these teams comprises of three personnel.
This small team is responsible to the Business Improvement Manager to maintain the integrity of the Alliance’s ISO 9001 certification including the planning, management and achievement of the Alliance assurance and audit obligations. The team undertakes this by maintaining and improving the Business Management System; ensuring activities are documented, published and maintained in accordance with the current ISO standard, the conduct of audits and compliance analysis and compliance remediation activities.
- Experience in Quality Management Systems with working knowledge of the current ISO 9001 QMS standard.
- Experience in Internal and Supplier Auditing and Reporting.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis/Problem Solving and remediation actions.
- Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Experience in a direct customer/supplier relationship environment.
