**The Role**
In a fast-paced environment this role requires initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to review and adjust priorities and work activities to meet business outcomes. This role will also provide the opportunity to assist Defence in delivery capability across the Australian Defence Force through procurement of services.
**About our Team**
The Department of Defence’s Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG) is responsible for delivering and sustaining Australia’s naval capability - the ships and submarines - for Australia to be able to fight and win at sea.
NSSG manages nationally significant projects and sustainment activities that are un-paralleled in size, scope, cost, risk profile and level of complexity. Our core business is to deliver world class capabilities, including services, to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and optimal value for money outcomes to all our internal Defence clients. The Anzac SPO sits within the NSSG / Maritime System Division (MSD) / Major Surface Ships (MSS) Branch. The headquarters for the Anzac SPO is located in Rockingham, WA.
The Anzac SPO is primarily a governance, assurance and strategic planning enterprise which undertakes a governing and assurance role over the variety of outsourced performance based commercial contracts. These contracts span engineering, maintenance and logistics operations disciplines and include our major sustainment contract, the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA). Our Contract Management specialists are a group of motivated and professional individuals within the Commercial and Governance team. They possess a wide variety of qualifications and experiences; and are therefore welcoming of people who are from either public or private sector backgrounds.
