Working alongside members of the Outdoor Education delivery team, this role will provide coaching and mentorship to fellow outdoor educators. The role will be accountable to develop and guide Professional Development Plans for all field employees with an emphasis on high quality educational delivery.

Lead Outdoor Educators will take specific responsibility for the performance, reputation, and growth of The Outdoor Education Group in line with the organisation’s core values.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to support the growth and development of Outdoor Educators in both a field and administration capacities.
- The ability to work with team to maximise their performance potential and action professional development opportunities through feedback and coaching.
- Application of organisational risk and educational systems in a dynamic range of programs, venues, and situations.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, review, and deliver engaging and effective professional development sessions across a range of skills and experience.
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and diverse learning environment for Outdoor Educators.
- Demonstrated leadership experience of more than 3 years in Outdoor Education roles or similar sector with ability to deliver to adult learners.
- You possess advanced facilitation skills to deliver outdoor education outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Tertiary qualification in Outdoor Education/Leadership (preferred)
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (ideal but not compulsory)
- Current Wilderness First Aid and CPR Current Working with Children’s Check
- OR OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Accepting all Working Holiday VISA applicants
- Proof of relevant COVID 19 Vaccination required

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

- Base salary $53,916.20+ Super - Australian Dollars + Time in Lieu accrued
- In field allowance of 42.8% of daily rate when working a field day
