About The Role

As the Warehouse Lead you will facilitate the smooth and efficient operation of the Melbourne warehouse including goods receiving and shipping in accordance with set procedures and specifications. We’ve got exciting plans for our warehouse in the next year including a new extension, new layout and lots of improvement changes to implement. No two days are the same and you will get involved in:
Managing incoming goods, receipting, receivables, returns management and shipping goods to clients.

Timely delivery of goods to Production (including kanban replenishment) and Projects.

Maintain a safe and tidy warehouse, with appropriate visual management, at all times.

Co-ordinate and prioritise the daily warehouse activities for all assigned team members.

Identify waste in warehouse processes and support implementation of improvements.

Identify continuous improvement opportunities on an ongoing basis.

Ensure all machinery and warehouse equipment is maintained and report any repair requirements to the Production Team Leader in a timely manner.

You are a skilled and experienced Warehouse Lead. You will also bring:
Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to use initiative. Ensures forward planning, prioritised goals, tasks, and results. Monitors status and takes corrective action.

Establishes systems and processes to streamline responsibilities and create efficiencies.

Strong customer service focus with the ability to collaborate with people across all levels, exceeding their expectations. Demonstrates full commitment for delivering optimal service.

Proven experience supervising a warehouse including material handling & Kanban coupled with the ability to strategically grow the warehouse.

Demonstrated ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Knows the status of each task and can easily shift resources and time to ensure achievement of goals. Flexible to changing situations.

Forklift license, ERP system experience (SAP preferred).

Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to achieving results in a team-based environment. Ability to remain calm; builds and takes a logical approach; gathers and order information; weighs up options; identifies remedies and implements resolution. Asks for assistance or escalates where appropriate.

Proactive Health & Safety management. Knowledge and awareness of hazards and risks. Proactive approach to eliminate hazards/risks. Reports and manages any incidences.
