We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Manager to join our team in the Minor Capital Works (MCW) Unit. As part of the VSBA's Programs Branch within the Asset Management Division, the MCW Unit oversees the construction of Minor Capital Works Fund projects aimed at enhancing the learning environment, condition, and inclusivity of schools.The Manager Minor Capital Works, reporting to the Director Programs is responsible for the leadership and management of a rolling program of works across the Department of Education's primary, secondary and early learning property portfolio, ensuring service delivery excellence and customer satisfaction.
The position will lead the development and delivery of the rolling minor capital works program, financial management, people leadership and continuous improvement for the Unit.

**Key responsibilities for the role include**:

- Business Planning and Financial Management
- Program delivery and risk management
- Stakeholder engagement and communication
- Development of, and input into policies, processes, and guidelines
- Drafting and review of Departmental and Ministerial advice
- Foster a positive team culture aligned with the Department's values

The position is based at 33 St Andrews Place, East Melbourne, with hybrid working arrangements available. This is a fixed-term position until 30/6/2026.
